Swim Meet 101
Parent Survival Tips
Swim Meet Survival Tips for Parents
- Drink lots of water or sports drinks
- Protect yourself from the sun and bugs: wear sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and bring bug spray
- Bring your own chairs.
- Bring money to support the host team concession stand.
- Let your swimmer know where you will be sitting.
- Encourage your swimmer to stay in the Ready area.
- Have your swimmer already marked with their events when they arrive to the meet, as long as Draft Heat Sheets were emailed. Heat and lane assignments should be marked once we know there will be no last minute changes.
- New swim parents - we will be there to help you with this, we know it is confusing!
